Summary: Successful night club owner Langston proposes to his girlfriend, photographer Diana "Sugar" Hill. However, kingpin Morgan and his mobsters murder Langston when he refuses to sell his night club to Morgan. Sugar then seeks out the voodoo priestess Mama Maitresse to ask her for her help in avenging Langston's death. Mama Maitresse summons Baron Samedi, the Lord of the Dead, to aid Sugar in her task.
